Wee Buns Cookery School's Fairy Cakes recipe is one that the whole family will enjoy making.
Fairy Cakes are smaller than cupcakes and are iced rather than topped with buttercream.

Fairy Cake recipe has a Glaće Icing that you can add food colouring to for an extra pop of colour.

In the third in our series of recipes from
Wee Buns Cookery School, we're making a classic rhubarb tart.
Rhubarb is in season from April to June. When buying it, look out for firm stalks and leaves that haven't wilted.
Often thought of as a fruit,
rhubarb is actually a vegetable. Although it can be eaten raw, because of its sour taste, it's usually cooked with sugar to sweeten the taste.
This
traditional rhubarb pie recipe is delicious served with fresh cream or custard and a pot of tea.

This classic buttermilk scone recipe from
Wee Buns Cookery School is so easy to make and it's something that the kids will love to help you with.
Adding buttermilk to your scone mix will give it a softer texture and more body.
If you don't have any buttermilk to hand, full-fat milk with a squeeze of lemon or some
plain natural yoghurt is a good substitute.
