The New LG Infinia Full LED 3D, LED and Plasma TV
What is Infinia?
The Infinia TV Series from LG is the latest offering of Plasma and LED and most importantly their first big move into Full HD LED 3D Televisions, once again LG is proving that ‘Life is Good!’
All LG Infinia Televisions larger than 32″ are all High Definition 1080p and all are equipped with Netcast Entertainment access (LG’s Connectivity Suite – You Tube, BBC iPlayer etc) which now includes Skype. Refresh rates on the new screens are similiarly impressive with LG’s TruMotion technology the LX9900 at 400Hz, LE8900 at 200Hz and the LE7700 coming in at 100Hz. Meanwhile the Infinia Plasmas PK990 and PK7900 come in with 600Hz.
Connectivity isn’t over looked either with a 2.0 USB, 4 HDMI’s, Wireless AV (with Dongle) with a 100 Feet range and DLNA enabled.
Of course though the biggest attraction is the stylish design, a picture frame finish and with a total depth of just over an Inch it sets new standards in regards of finishing.
Despite having only been released the Inifinia has picked up a multitude of awards and recommendations from critics and buffs alike.
LG Infinia LED
LG’s Infinia LED TVs fall into three categories, The LX9900’s which are Full HD LED 3D Televisions, the LX8900’s are Full HD LED Televisions and the entry level LX7900’s LED TV’s.
The LX9900 is the 3D Full HD LED (1080p) member of the range, it comes in two screen sizes; the 55″ 55LX9900 and 47″ 47LX9900. The Active 3D Display comes complete with 2 sets of glasses and has a Contrast Ratio of 10,000,000:1 & a refresh rate of 400Hz.
The LE8900 is the Full HD (1080p) LED range and is available in three screen sizes; a 55″ 55LE8900, a 47″ 47LE8900 and a 42″ 42LE8900. This Series of the range has a Contrast Ratio of 9,000,000:1 and a refresh rate of 200Hz.
Finially the excellent Infinia entry range LE7900 LED TV is offers a choice of 5 Screen sizes 55″ 55LE7900, 47″ 47LE9700, 42″ 42LE9700, 37″ LE9700 and a very manageable 32″ 32LE9700. Has a Contrast Ratio of 5,000,000:1 and has a refresh rate of 100Hz.
LG’s patented backlight system found in it’s LED TV’s has been certified for it’s quality by THX, a unique achievement in LED Tv’s.
The LED Infinia range of Televisions has also been accredited by the Energy Saving Trust for their Energy Efficiency allowing you to do your bit for the environment from the comfort of your own living room!
LG Infinia Plasma
The Inifinia are also available as Plasma TVs, available in two Series the PK990 and PK790. Botch Series have a 600Hz Refresh Rate and Bluetooth connectivity. Infinia Plasma Screens have also been endorsed by THX.
The PK990 Infinia Plasma range is available in two sizes the 60″ 60PK990 and 50″ 50PK9700. The PK990 benefits from TruBlack technology for deeper, crisper, darker blacks for freater definition and a Conrast Ratio of 3,000,00:1
The 60″ 60PK790 and 50″ 50PK970 has the same specifications as the 990 but for the lack of TruBlack technology.
